I’ve grown up walking through the woods, going on adventures in imaginary lands the way kids often do. But the woods by my house were always different. On the outskirts of an old abandoned sanitarium, even on the warmest summer days, there was always a chill in the air. A sense of something or someone lurking in the shadows; ghosts of people long gone and stories since forgotten. Returning to those woods, I felt connected to those people, compelled to step into their shoes, and uncover the truth about the lives hidden away by this place. Overbrook is the story of a child searching for escape from the place I’ve always called home.
